PALOMA COCKTAIL WITH FRESH SQUEEZED GRAPEFRUIT JUICE

Fortunately I have a tonic – a pink, bubbly, tequila-loaded tonic – that will pursue away the winter blues in the blink of an eye. What's more, that tonic isn't generally a tonic, however it is invigorating AF, and it's this Paloma Cocktail.

The Paloma is Mexico's most famous tequila based mixed drink, and in light of current circumstances. Sweet, salty, and severe impact, and each are restrained sufficiently only for a consummately adjusted, wonderfully sippable, absolutely transformative tequila drink.

There are a few distinctive approaches to make a Paloma, incorporating with grapefruit soft drink, however I like to make it with the freshest fixings conceivable, and that incorporates genuine grapefruit juice.

Ingredients :
kosher salt :
  • 1 large grapefruit or 2 oz grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice from 1/2 lime
  • 1/4 oz simple syrup or agave nectar
  • club soda to preference

Instructions :
  1. Slice the grapefruit in half widthwise. Using a citrus juicer, reamer, or the tines of a fork, juice one half of the fruit and set aside. Cut the other half into 1/2" slices.
  2. Spread kosher salt onto a small plate and shake to create an even layer of salt.
  3. Run one of the grapefruit slices along the rim of the glass, then dip the glass into the salt to create a salt rim. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
  4. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the grapefruit juice, tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup or agave nectar. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  5. Pour the cocktail into the prepared cocktail glass. Top with soda water to your preference and garnish with a grapefruit wedge. Serve immediately.
